PB Swiss Tools special alloys

For the production of  the tools, PB Swiss Tools uses a special steel alloy based on spring steel produced especially for them. A very high hardness value and a unique durability and springiness characterize the special steel which PB Swiss Tools has developed over the decades with their steel suppliers.

A possibly high degree of hardness is the prerequisite for a first-class hand tool so that the wear and tear remains low. With over-stressing, the tools may not suddenly and without advanced warning break or even splinter. The durability of the material thus determines and limits the admissible hardness.

Thanks to the special PB Swiss Tools spring steel, in spite of the high hardness of 58 – 60° HRC, the tools have an excellent toughness and elasticity.
