Every company has the duty to act with care and responsibility towards both people and the environment. For PB Swiss Tools, this strategy has been a basic requirement for the sustained manufacture and development of their products for several decades. Despite a continual growth in sales, PB Swiss Tools has for example succeeded in reducing its consumption of water and chemicals in its production processes. They take responsibility for and are also working on sustainable developments for the future.

The excellent performance of PB Swiss Tools employees is demonstrated by the re-certification to the ISO norms (9001:2000, 9004:2002, 14001:1996, OHSAS 18001) and the high degree of customer benefit that you gain when using any tool which is made by PB Swiss Tools.

PB Swiss Tools fulfill the requirements of RoHS:
From standard products to custom-made articles; PB Swiss Tools always pay close attention to ecologically sound production and sustainable development. They laid down the groundwork for both in their integrated management system quite some time ago. In 2003, the European Union passed a directive prohibiting a number of harmful substances for electrical or electronic equipment. PB Swiss Tools has long been complying with these rules, even though it is not explicitly required to do so. They commissioned the independent institute ReseaChem of the Bern universities of applied sciences to examine their production processes for the hazardous substances covered by the directive. The final report of 9 March 2004 confirms that their tools and packaging contain no hazardous materials. In other words, all PB tools can be safely used in the production of electrical or electronic components or as tools for such components. Once again, you can always rely on unique PB Swiss Tools quality!

FSC - Forest Stewardship Council Powerful and environment-friendly: PB Swiss Tools hammers with FSC-certified wooden handles PB Swiss Tools has always been committed to socially compatible and environment-friendly production. As a logical step, from August 2006, the hammer models PB 297 (rebound) and PB 300 (dead blow) will therefore be supplied with FSC-certified wooden handles. The material originates from the USA and is ideally suitable for application with high-quality plastic hammers. By using PB Swiss Tools hammers you therefore support sustainable management of raw materials, without having to pay more than for previous models.
